It was laughable that the U.S. media and people at cable networks like CNN, want to pretend that they aren't the largest instruments of disseminating hate speech in this country. After the terrible Holocaust shootings, some t.v. journalist jumped at the opportunity with the Southern Poverty Law Center to blame the internet. Has he ever heard right-wing talk radio? These people sit back and say how slavery was good. Bill Handle(who happens to be Jewish), over at Fox would do a show where whites and hispanics could call into his Ca. radio show and re-name black people!
Bill Handle, right wing Ca. based talks show host, would talk about how black slavery was good for black people because they were treated very well being that they were property and one would assume that an owner treats their property good! I do not hear the "main stream" media talking about these radio host or even their own racism and hate speech. In fact, Bill Handle now has a television gig-at Fox Good Day L.A., where he gets to chime in on current topics.
What has always been missing from the Southern Poverty Law Center is truth and facts. To talk about hate group and hate, as a black and white issue but conveniently leaving out the large number of hispanics and other immigrants, that are in hate groups is laughable.
Bill Cosby's son was shot by Neo-Nazi Ukrainian gang member, in Ca. state and these immigrant gangs and hate groups, out number many other so called hate groups. The Southern Poverty Law Center has an agenda and that is to live in a 1960's America, where the country is supposedly cemented and unchanged.
Most blogs and internet sites spring up, as a means of answering and neutralizing the state-owned, corporate controlled media. After Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, it was the U.S. media along with former police chief, Eddie Campos, that put out this narrative that all the blacks were shooting at rescue workers and no one could get in to help the people. That wasn't the case but it was being reported by every American media outlet as fact.
I understand that law enforcement has an agenda of getting high crime stats to keep upping their grabs at tax payers money but Hurricane Katrina was not the correct time for a police chief to be lying and for media outlets to be doing third party reporting as if they actually knew what was happening in New Orleans. If it would not be for the incompetency of the U.S. government and Media (which is the US Government)-I would not have to write online.
No rescue worker was shot at and 99.9% of these people, had no guns. The lies that the media told, is still considered fact by everyone that I encounter around the country. The media, government and law enforcement just bounce lies off of each other and many times they are working an agenda.
Stats and polls can be manipulated to fit the agenda of who ever is doing the asking of the questions. It is virtually impossible for any sane person to draw conclusion from stats, reported by the media. The U.S. media is no better than on line hate sites or the Ku Klux Klan, they just hide it better.
A few days ago on CNN Wolf Blitzer had on Hip Hop mogul, Russell Simmons, and CNN threw up facts that have been proven to be untrue about 70% of blacks in Ca. state voting against gay marriage. 
Now CNN, knew that the story line about blacks in Ca. state. being the sole reason that gay marriage was ban is foolish but they want to play up the African American gaining civil rights and then denying gays in Ca state angle. This is the story that the American media desperately wants to play up, in order to get their ratings. Never mind that it simply isn't true.
Blacks are less than 8% of the total voting block in Ca state. That isn't enough to do anything in an election. CNN didn't say anything about former Miss.California, Prejean(who represents a large white conservative base in that state), or the fact that the Mormon church dished out millions to organize and pull together white conservatives and religious people within Ca. state. Blacks didn't over turn gay marriage in Ca. Ca. has become a 50% conservative state and 50% liberal. 
The Mormons didn't link up with the Catholics, but instead linked up with the Evangelicals within Ca. state, to ban gay marriage. Their hate of gays was greater than their hate for each other being that Evangelicals do not even think that Mormons are a real religion! I guess Mormons are a real religion, when they have millions in Utah Mormon cash to spend in Ca. state, according to the apparent logic of Evangelicals.
Rick Warren,(Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California) was key in getting this gay-marriage ban, onto the ballot.
The Ca. state populace has become so uneducated and so dumb that they shouldn't even have a way to put Propositions, which can amend the state's constitution, onto a ballot in the first place!
Simply, because the U.S. media, comes with these polls, stats and numbers, doesn't mean that they aren't slanting a story for a hook or angle. Now after CNN and other networks, kept repeating "blacks killed gay marriage"-gays picked up signs saying "Nigger Go Back to Africa" following that vote. Mean while, out of state conservative groups and the Mormon church was and continues to just sit back on easy street! It is instances like this, where people should thank God that there is an internet and you can read the wider story, and and see news from other places-and get your own conclusion but the bulk of Americans still live in 1970, where they think that the U.S. media is legit. The U.S. media has proven time and time again to be wrong, liars and simply working specific agendas but to think that the media simply reports "the news" is silly.
The U.S. Media is a business like any other capitalistic business. If the story of a black thug robbing a bank will pull more ratings than a Ku Klux Klan judge in Louisiana, who refuses to prosecute a fellow KKK member(which is happening in La state as I write), who murdered a white female from Oklahoma state-than the U.S. media will report the black thug doing a stick-up! Now, if I don't write about this KKK Judge story and post it all over the web-the public will NEVER know about the case because the U.S. Media will not report on it because the U.S. Media is a business that is owned by the state or foreign Immigrants, like Rupert Murdoch of Fox.
One could also have angled that if 4% more of hispanics would have voted for gay marriage, that it would still be legal. One could say that if 4% less of whites, would have voted to over turn gay marriage, that it would still be legal. But of course, the American media, with their hate speech, has to keep drumming this beat of typical and tried racism.
There are still more negative stereotypes and hate crimes done against blacks in the U.S., than any other group and these problems for blacks, have historically been aggravated by the mainstream American media. If it would not be for our media, people would get along much better. It is the U.S. media that has been driving hate and stereotyping groups, in the U.S. since their conception.
The American media can't be trusted and has no room for accusing someone else of hate speech. Lord help us in the days, when we had no internet and everyone had to depend on the media.
